Reports to: General Manager

Key Responsibilities: Supports operating units by implementing human resources programs; solving performance problems, and arranging accommodation/transport of employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, employment law compliance, and labour relations; completing personnel transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee work of Entry Level, Trainee, Technicians and Charge Hands.
  • Read construction drawings and review with contractor’s representative.
  • Provide ongoing reports to the Senior Project Manager and Project Manager.
  • Manage the team and ensure that they act with integrity at all times.
  • Ensure the company policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook are implemented.
  • Liaise with the Health and Safety manager to ensure all H&S issues are addressed.
  • Install Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling and all other cabling specs.
  • Test cables with Fluke Cable Analyser.
  • Reviews quotes to confirm adherence to quote specifications and accuracy of quotes received.
  • Ensure all health and safety precautions are adhered to.
  • Ensure all security procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Wear PPE as specified by the manager.
  • Be prepared to work on any of the sites serviced by CET.
  • Travel is a requirement of the position.
  • Communicate with the contractor’s representative to ensure that all aspects of the project are being met to the satisfaction of the contractor.

  • Previous experience work on Building Sites or Data Centres is essential.

Key Responsibilities:  To meet the daily demand within our busy estimating department by ensuring all tenders are managed to meet our client’s requirements and deadlines. Ensure we have included for all aspects of the tender scope and the required materials and labour to complete the job.

Interact with all Vendors to ensure we have the correct prices at time of submission and obtain regular feedback from clients to identify our offer status in the bid process. Work with our business development staff and give regular feedback on our conversion to order rates and competitiveness in the market.

 Responsibilities:

 Complete take-offs by examining tender drawings and technical documents in order to prepare estimates.

  • Collaborating with clients and contractors on estimates to resolve any discrepancies by RFI between tender drawings and technical submittals
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials & labour expenses.
  • Requests material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers. Reviews quotes to confirm adherence to quote specifications and accuracy of quotes received.
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with vendors.
  • Prepares bid documents including specific scope letter for each project.
  • Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
  • Purchase and cost materials against new and existing project as per company standards.
  • Track the status of any orders.
  • Provide feedback on our market position in relation to conversion rate
